“EFFECTIVENESS OF KEGEL EXERCISE VERSUS PRONE POSITIONING ON REDUCTION OF AFTER PAIN AND PROGRESSION OF INVOLUTION OF UTERUS AMONG PRIMI POST-NATAL MOTHERS ADMITTED IN POSTNATAL WARDS IN SELECTED HOSPITAL OF KANPUR, U.P’’
It was determined that it was crucial to lessen the post-operative pain and speed up the uterus involution process. The objectives of the study was to assess the pre-test and post-test scores of after pain and Involution of Uterus among Primi Post-natal Mothers, to evaluate the Effectiveness of Kegel Exercise and Prone Positioning on Reduction of After Pain and Progression of Involution of Uterus among Primi Post-natal Mothers, to compare of Kegel exercise and Prone Positioning on reduction of after pain and progression of involution of uterus among Primi Post-natal Mothers, to Correlation between Kegel Exercise and Prone Positioning among Primi Post-natal Mothers, to find out the association between pre-test Level of Reduction of after pain and progression of Involution Of Uterus among Primi Post-natal Mothers with their selected demographic and obstetrical variables. True experimental Solomon four-group design with one group experimental (pre-test) and control (post-test) and second group experimental (pre-test) and control (post-test) group design was adopted by the researcher among 60 primi post-natal mothers admitted in postnatal wards Kanpur were selected by using a purposive sampling technique. A one standardized visual analogue pain scale tool and one self-structured modified measurement of fundal height regarding primi post-natal women was used to collect data The result of the study showed that Level of pain pre-test mean in experimental group (8.93), and post-test mean (6.33) and level of pain in control group mean in pre-test (8.4) and post-test mean (4.73) and Level of fundal height pre-test mean in experimental group (13.4) and post-test mean (12.26) and level of fundal height in control group mean in pre-test (13.06) and post-test mean (12.13).There is significant difference between the experimental and control group level of Kegel exercise and prone positioning. There is significant positive correlation between kegel exercise and prone positioning.The chi-square test revealed that there was a no significant association of between level of pain and level of fundal height of the primi post-natal mothers with their selected demographic variables obstetrical variables. The overall finding of the study clearly showed that there is a need of continuous educational intervention of postnatal exercise in primi post-natal mothers.
