Abstract

The statement of the problem was, “A study to assess the effectiveness of information booklet on knowledge regarding promotion of liver health among young adults and to determine the association of promotion of liver health among young adults in urban community at Kanpur”. The research approach was quantitative research approach and research design was Quasi Experimental pre-test and post-test research design. The sample size was 60. The study setting was a selected urban community at Kanpur. The paper is based on primary data collected from the young adults of selected urban community at Kanpur through self-structured knowledge questionnaire. Study analysis finding showed that pre-test mean knowledge score 10.18 with SD 3.59 and post-test mean knowledge score 19.95 with SD 4.32. Paired t test applied to compare pre-test and post-test mean knowledge score, and calculated t value is 16.44. There was statistically significant (pvalue) enhancement of post-test knowledge score as compare to pre-test knowledge on promotion of liver health. Hence information booklet was effective to increase knowledge of young adults regarding promotions of liver health,
